Food, service, and vibe were all on point today!! I ordered the lunch special (entree 1 for salad and NA beverage). I ordered the house salad which was a solid portion and very fresh. I don't normally order salads with iceberg lettuce but that was my fault for not asking Hailey. I ordered the fish & chips entree and it was outstanding today!! Generous 8oz cod, perfectly golden fried and not oily at all. The batter was seasoned nicely as well. Salt and malt fries were crispy and tasty too. The service from Hailey was absolutely outstanding!! Hailey was so attentive and thorough, and such a pleasure and bonus during my lunch. I will continue to be a Murray's customer.

Murray’s Tavern is a solid addition to Austin’s dining scene, offering a well-executed menu, great cocktails, and a laid-back atmosphere. I stopped by during happy hour and was impressed with the pricing and selection. I started with a mini Polka Dot Negroni, which was such a smart idea. It was the perfect way to enjoy a cocktail without committing to a full pour. I also had their Espresso Martini, which did not disappoint. The balance of espresso and sweetness was spot on. For appetizers, I went with the shrimp cocktail, and the house brine gave the shrimp an incredible depth of flavor. I also tried my boyfriend’s Beef Tartare with Fried Saltines—a first for me—and I was surprised at how much I liked it. The seasoning was well-balanced, and the saltines added a great crunch. For the main course, we shared the Prime Rib, and I can see why it’s a crowd favorite. The meat was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and flavorful. The aioli dip on the side was a great complement. The back patio was the perfect setting to enjoy our meal, with plenty of space and a comfortable, relaxed vibe. With excellent service, great food, and an inviting atmosphere, Murray’s Tavern is definitely worth a visit, especially during happy hour.

We discovered Murray's Tavern on a Reddit thread when we were searching for the best Reuben in Austin. Noble and Hailey took such great care of us, and the weather was amazing on the spacious tree-shaded patio. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the savory French onion soup to the Caesar salad with anchovies to the burger to the aforementioned Reuben. The ice cream profiteroles were scrumptious, and the creamy cheesecake was even better. Will be back to try Grandma's goulash and the fish and chips.

What an unexpected treat!! We came here for happy hour and the food and drinks were awesome. Oysters, fries, dips, pigs in blankets... Our waiter Oscar - he was the real ! 10 ’s! Outdoor patio prepping for the knicks playoffs game too? Hell yes.

This restaurant has a wonderful ambiance, exuding the charm of New York City's Gilded Age. It's truly unique, and I love it. The decor perfectly matches the theme, creating a captivating atmosphere. The food is outstanding. Even the simple grilled salmon is excellent, and the burger, steak, fish and chips, and chicken are all equally impressive. We're thoroughly amazed. We absolutely love this place and will definitely be returning.

Great Irish pub in east austin, calm and warm atmosphere with good drink specials. Definitely a calmer and more affordable option when compared with dead rabbit on 6th. If you're looking for traditional pub food in a laid-back atmosphere, this is the place.
